Here is the weekly question posted on the NCSBN Learning Extension:

A client has returned to the unit after having had a renal biopsy. Which of these nursing interventions is appropriate?

  1. Ambulate the client four hours after procedure
  2. Maintain client on NPO status for 24 hours
  3. Monitor vital signs more frequently
  4. Change the dressing every eight hours

The correct answer is: 3 – Monitor vital signs more frequently
